This September, Apex Fostering will lead a three-day awareness walk from Southend-on-Sea to London, highlighting the urgent need for more foster carers across England.
Miles for Home aims to raise awareness of the fostering crisis and the impact it has on children and young people — particularly those being moved away from their communities due to a lack of suitable homes.
The walk will take place over three days and will invite carers, social workers, and members of the public to join for parts of the journey, helping to bring visibility, conversation, and real voices to the issue.
